has anyone used / owned the ashdown AAA30 yet?

i'm looking for a small practice amp, and ran across the ashdown AAA30 online. i've never seen one in a store, and we hit several guitar centers and sam ash stores recently, but i'm interested. i want to use it to play my basses and my drums around the house when i need to be super quiet or don't want to move my larger setup.

so i'm asking my fellow TBers if anyone here has used one and, if so, what you thought of it and whether you've had the chance to compare it to an ampeg BA108V2.

I rarely see Ashdown gear of any type in the Washington DC metro area. I think Sweetwater carries Ashdown, but that brand and Traynor are an unusual find in these parts IME.

here, too. we used to see a lot of ashdown at GC, but i guess GC and ashdown aren't buddies anymore...

FWIW everything I read about Ashdown makes me think their gear is well made and that they value their reputation. Of course that is absolutely no help to you in terms of the comparison you are trying to make.
