Has Mesa Walkabout design changed?

It sounds great; I've never ever had a live sound engineer gripe about it, and the guy at the studio I work most at likes it.

Lastly, if you've played and like the Walkabout, I don't think you'll like the SL. They're very different from each other.

I would agree with all of that. The only time post is a big deal is when you grossly boost low end in your amp, but most of the time, the soundman can dial it out if it's overwhelming but not grossly boosted.

And I haven't played the Scout, but I have played the regular size Walkabout before, and it's extremely tight and precise to my ears while the Streamliner isn't. To me they're pretty much opposites. Both killer amps at what they do but they don't do the same things. IMHO of course.

Well what's the soundman doing where he can't back it down if you get a little nutso with it? ;) I used to use a mic and would change my volumes and tone settings on my amps a few times during a show, plus kick on pedals and switch to upright and all sorts of alleged soundman nightmares, and never had a complaint from any good soundman. It's not that hard to deal with. Soundmen just get mad when you make them touch your fader and knobs ;)
