basically its a five string P/J bass. I don't like neglecting any of my instruments so I'd like to give it some new blood. My plan for it is like... Cannibal Corpse / Alex Webster type of stuff, and the output on the bass just isnt cutting it as is. I believe a few years ago I swapped the Pb pickups for some EMG Selects. Still isn't quite doing the trick. I was wondering if anyone can suggest some pickup combinations and perhaps a preamp I could add that can spruce some things up a bit and make the output a little hotter. Thanks in advance
