A recent acquisition and a few other posts along this line have given me reason to ask a few questions. I never understood it when folks talked about the one, but now I am beginning to understand. I am curious to hear from those that feel they have found it.
For now, I don’t want to imprint my feelings on the responses. So, Let’s go with 2 questions...
1. How did you know you’d found your one?
2. What did you do with the rest once you knew?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

I found my "the one" 43 years ago and it is still my number one my 1975 Gibson Ripper, I have 14 others but the Ripper is still in first place
It is the only bass I own that I lose myself in and can play for hours.

There is no "the one", only the one for right now.A recent acquisition and a few other posts along this line have given me reason to ask a few questions. I thought I had, I had found "the one". Fast forward 17 beautiful years and 4 children later and she tells me she's fallen for someone else.
The MTD Kingston stuff has done that for me. The first one I grabbed felt like it was built just for me. I have 2 Saratogas (J style) and 2 Artist style), and they all just feel & sound right.
