I'll make one last attempt at this. Let's take it in pieces. First the glockenspeil is an instrument meant to be played in marching ensembles, held vertically, usually aided by a belt.

A xylophone is a keyboard percussion instrument, most often used in orchestras and concert bands, its bars are made of rosewood and the sound is characterized by its sharp attack and short sustain.

The instrument I believe you're trying to cite is a vibraphone, with its metal bars and long sustain was brought to popularity in jazz by such artists as Lionel Hampton.

The extrmemly fast music you are describing is bebop. Traditional jazz sounds a lot like dixieland to the uninitiated. Having played big band professionaly for nearly 15 years, I can tell you its much harder than ska, and the lines are not confined to any particular area of the fingerboard.

I suspect either you a.) are a troll, b.) are supremely ignorant of jazz, or c.) both. either way, many of us "jazz players" here have a lot to offer if you'd listen and not attack others.
