Haynes bass??? (El Sobrante, CA)

Hi TB!

I got this acoustic bass from incredibly amazing person. He said it's "handmade" custom bass and it looks like it is.

The only reference I can find is inside sticker that says HAYNES.
Does anyone know of any guitar company that existed/exists in El Sobrante, California???

I also just came into my possesion an acoustic plug in with the same sticker as yours, i mean exactly. and the year is 1993 and it has a serial number. when i googled that serial number its telling me that ibanez made it which is bull. ,ine looks really old. im assuming its probably worth something. if you find out any info please email me at [email protected] thanks!

Neat find. The poster that you're replying to was last seen here in 2020, but maybe someone else can help you out if you're patient. Or you might even get a reply from the OP if you're lucky. I wish I could help you more than this but I'm not the one.

I've contacted a luthier here in El Sobrante and asked him about HAYNES. I'll let you know if he gets back to me.

Sorry, the two luthiers I talked to who grew up honing their craft in Berkeley and El Sobrante have never heard of HAYNES. Good luck.

Thats starnge, well thank you, i appreciate the help. i would like to sell it but i need to know what its worth. I found a website for RMC pickups and in their musicians profile there is a gentleman by the name of Jim Nicholls a country Jazz musician from ther Bay Area. But my search has stallede there.
