This may have been posted already today, but I didn't see it. The late George Dukes Birthday and it seemed appropriate to post some George, Billy, John and Alphonso. One of the best fusion ensembles and collaborations of all time. Despite his age here, Alphonso was simply fantastic.

Brilliant and prolific! I had worked my way backwards with Zappa, it was years later before I got into the Jeff Simmons George Duke era other than say 'Dont Eat The Yellow Snow'. My first initiation and consequent new musical infatuation was, Joes Garage and then Shut up and Play Yer Guitar, then back to Zoot Allures, then forward again etc... I had heard Peaches En Regalia throughout the years, first time by a surf band! Lately I have been binging this, still my favorite w/ Bozzio, Belew, O'Hearn, gives me some kind of unspoken permission to be unafraid to explore within the context of a song that grooves... I miss the days musicians wanted to play this.
