Head and Cab for under $800?

I am looking for a head and cab for $800 or less.
I want to be loud enough to gig with a band in small clubs.
I want a clean tone, as I do not like distorted bass all that much.
The smaller the physical size the better, but not the most important thing.
I live 1 hour away from a "local" guitar shop that has hardly any bass gear.
I live 2 hours away from the closest guitar center / sam ash.
I think that mostly explains my situation. Thank you for any suggestion!

This has been getting good reviews around here.

Some folks like Avatar quite a bit too. Both brands will ship to your door.

Have you tried Craigslist? Between Memphis and Nashville, there should be some great used equipment. Or how about the classifieds on this board?

I'd say the Link Removed ($438 shipped) + Avatar B210 Neo ($328 shipped). If you get the cab in 4 ohms, you'll be able to get the full 500 watts. Add another 4 ohm Avatar B210 later if you need more volume.

I don't know if a single 210 would be loud enough for a lot of applications. I think the B212 would be a safer bet, but you'd end up spending over $800. Perhaps stacking the cab vertically would help.
