Not the bassy-ist tone, but then again, I'm listen to it mostly via headphones.
It balances amazingly, with an intentionally cheap, slippery strap it will stay in whatever position I put it when standing and has no neck dive when sitting.

I don't have experience with the zen blade, but is parallel wiring an option?
Yes! when you get it there are wiring directions in the box telling you how to wire them for various scenarios:

I tend to like parallel wiring over series in a humbucker. It can accentuate brightness, but it also seems (IME) to expand the bottom end too. Highs can be rolled off with a tone knob
I have Zen Blades on my non-headless Bordwell, each pickup has a series/parallel switch:
One thing my bass doesn't have... a tone knob LOL I didn't know if I'd have room!
Awesome choice of pickup, I ordered Zen Blades for this new one below (Artist rendering for now) and it will have 2 / 3-way switches for parallel/series/single… expecting it in another few weeks, hopefully.

I don't have a tone knob on the Bordwell above, and I have plenty of room. We don't need no stinkin' tone knobs...
They are awesome pickups! I love them on my Bordwell.

Would anyone here happen to know the string spacing on a five string Hohner Jack?
If on a bridge, the saddles have no gap between them the width of the saddle is the exact spacing. Which on my Hohner 5 is also 16.5mm.

Those are nice and clean, I like the zero fret as well.
I agree...totally like the clean look and practical simplicity of the design. The way the string feeds into the individual string anchor is just perfect.
