Headless Club???

Sure - usually sunlight is best for photos, but maybe not in this case. Here’s an indoor shot.

WOW, it looks like a fricken Galaxy!
Nice work, looks great. Have you done dips before?

Haha, nope, this was my first one, my practice one. I thought it came out great, so I decided to build it up!!

Looks killer! I love the color selection.

What paints did you dip with? What method? (i.e. warm water + Borax?)

For a first timer, I felt the safest bet was the Marabu Marble paint, which is specifically formulated for hydro-dipping, and floats on top of plain water. I do want to experiment with some other paints too, which might require Borax.

I did a TON of research on it several years ago as I could not find a decent, coherent guide at the time.

I settled on Humbrol paints, but it was not perfect. Some of the paints, metallic and lighter colors, dropped like stones in the water mostly where the darker colors worked great.

I ended up doing one headless bass kit in Testors gloss black and silver enamels but was literally pouring it over the body and blowing it around with a straw which worked out pretty well (but took 2-3 months to cure!)... Also stupid expensive comparatively... I think I spent $25-30 for all the paints I used...
