Headless Dingwall

Dingwalls are pretty great basses. The 37” B string is thunder and the multiscale is the solution for a balanced tension and tone between strings. Add in the headless that has been talked about forever and the Neve preamp. I’m in. The weight is going to be low on these and they already balance well. I can’t wait.

Not really, it's a barely modified DW. There is nothing particularly new about it, or difficult to make compared to the production line models. I dig that it's being made in Canadistan so the costs are high.

But note my comment:

I couldn't care less if anyone else finds it to be good value or not - I said I didn't find it to be so.

Edit: the string retainer looks clever, but I've never had an issue with the ones I use now that need an allen key.
Ok.

I generated a few body colors with AI to help myself picture how this bass will look with some different colors I’m interested in. Posted these already in the Dingwall Owners thread but thought I’d drop them here as well in case anyone would also be interested:

Now, if they'd only make an "aged aluminum" looking finish, a la some Manson guitars, electrical guitar company, or the special edition of the MM kaizen... That'd be one awesome and futuristic looking bass.

e.g. this finish:

Yet you still found the need to project your insecurities onto someone you don't know at all.

Then the fanboys came in and started justifying their own purchases, so I have responded to them. I have been polite...

I have denigrated no one...
Calling anyone opposed to your negativity and combativeness "fanboys" in order to minimize the the value of their disagreement is classic trolling and denigration.

You have a totally different concept of politeness than anyone else could even recognize as such and have denigrated by definition everyone you've interacted with in this thread so far.
