That's a great looking bass Wulf. Are you based in the UK? How about calling up The Gallery and asking what they've got in second hand? That's how I got mine - I was thinking of getting one custom built but then found the bass pictured above. It was pretty close to what I would have chosen and had the big advantage that I knew it had the sound and feel I wanted before parting with any cash.
While not "cheap", it was probably about as inexpensive as I could have had anyone build that kind of instrument for me from scratch.
