Headphone amplifiers ?

I've been using an inexpensive Samson headphone amp with my cheap samson headphones . The set up is my computer - into a small Berringer 4 ch mixer - headphone out into the samson headphone amp. I just got a really nice pair of AKG headphones which seem to neeed a lot more power to sound optimal ,any suggestions.

Well as usual I posted a little prematurely , Its all sorted out, just needed to take the time to set all the levels correctly.

Just chiming in on headphone set ups.
I recently bought a TC RH450 amp.
The headphone amp in it is quite nice.
I have been using a Tascam BT MP3 for practice
and it is decent.

That SFX gear is very tempting, Im really gassing for an H1,B3, and a micro thump, but Im holding out for a more favorable exchange rate.

I bought the Rolls RA53b 5 output headphone amplifier on recommendation from Chris at Redco Audio
Right around $100.00 individual volume controls and expandable to 10 outputs with 2 units bridged. Excellent connectivity.
Nice quite, half rack space and so far flawless.
