Headphones into bass.

I'm not sure if this is in the right forum but I hope it is.

I was wondering if i could plug my headphones directly into my bass.

My headphones are SkullCandy Gi's and they have a 1/4" adapter, and my bass is a Musicman Stingray HS, if that helps any.

I was just wondering cause I can't get to my amp right now, and i feel like playing with sound. :bassist:

Thanks,

Derek

Bump to an old thread.
What did the OP do here? I have the same question and found this thread through the search function.
I'll be traveling via planes, trains, and automobiles and still want to play my electric bass. I don't want to take my amp (I don't expect to be able to plug in all the time and it is one more huge item) and I don't want to spring for an acoustic bass.
What would work here? I can get batteries, and I understand I won't have my effects pedals:crying:.

Is there anyway to get stereo out of the headphones? I do have an active bass, but is there any accessory that would work with passive????

I'm not familiar with product short hand or model numbers....

Thanks in advance.

I had a chance to look through the links fellas. I like the Earwig and I've seen the Vox discussed. The dragonfly looks interesting but I think the stethescope head phones would get very painful in a very short period of time.

What is everyone's opinion on the:
Vox vs EARWIG vs Pocket Rocket vs the Cafe Walter thingy??? I think these are my four choices. I'll just be playing bass, although my son would probably really like something like this for his six string... Here we go...

Thanks again.

If your bass is active , just get a mono M 1/4" to stereo F 1/4".
There has to be a mono jack inserted to enable the battery circuit.
( on a lot of basses )

I do this often on my Carvin , not Über loud , but very practical. You have to notice that this will drain the battery a lot faster. ( doh! )
