Headphones recommendation

I want headphones for listening music on pc, sometimes when it's late, you know, you can't just turn up the speakers and also I'm using Guitar Rig 2 so I want quality headphones. Any recommendations?

I've got an old pair of Sony MDR-V600's and I think it's pretty good. They're cans if you were wondering, so much more comfortable than anything in-ear. They've got excellent cushioning for comfort and very good sound quality.

I'm gonna be traveling around a lot by Amtrak and the Dog (Greyhound) this summer. I have a cheap pair of RCA "noise cancellation" headphones but they're crap. I don't even think they work anymore. How would one of these fancy pairs hold up against the Diesel roar? I know that on the city bus my noise canceller thingies never did much... you'd still have to crank the volume so that your ears would be ringing by the time you stepped off. I wish I had one of those Bose noise cancellation headphones... but... $$$, and I think those were made for people who fly business class or who ride the subway for three miles from one part of Manhattan to another. Us poor slobs on the bus, especially in southwestern cities like Las Vegas that don't even have subways, are another story!
