Headphones

I want headphones to plug directly into the Headphone Out jack of my amp. The ear buds that I paid $19.95 for have good bass response, and are fine for a PA wireless monitor and my Guitar Trainer, but get a little distorted if plugged directly into my amp.
My GK115 is 200 watts. I would think I need something with high impedance? Not sure, Thanks.

My favorites are Sony MDR7506. Headphones are SO subjective, there is no single best make or model, just lots of personal preferences.

+1. Try a few if at all possible.

Audio technica ATH-M50's are a frequently recommended set - I like mine plenty.

I'd recommend looking at Closed, full sized headphones - a common type - that way you can get a set you like new or used and listen to them in a variety of settings - they won't leak sound like open or semi-open designs.

No matter what headphone/earphone you use, the EQ on the GK combo will probably be able to boost lows enough to distort most headphones - if not that then your ears.

Try to avoid headphones that really accentuate certain frequencies - like a certain very pricey, gaudy, prevalent beet oriented brand - If you want my 2c look for monitoring rather than Hi-Fi headphones.

As with all listening - watch the levels. Tinnitus and hearing loss really suck.

After listening to quite a few on same systems, I chose the Sony MDR V6 Studio Monitors- flat, honest response, clear lows (not accentuated), large cushions fit most ears, and reasonable price.
They've been compared with Sony MDR7506's, some prefer one over the other- check amazon's reviews for opinions.
Just be sure to get 'Real' version, not knock-offs.
Super-soft cushions oxidize after a while ('cause phones last so long and people keep them that long), but are in-expensively replaced.
Even used ones (replacing the cushions) can be a good buy: <$100.

Amazon reviewer said they're like a vice grip if you have a big head which I do. Nice price though. Thanks.
