Any body has a one?

I'm looking for a solution where I can plug my modeler (hardware or software) in my living room. I don't need a lot of volume and I want it to be small because I don't have a lot of space and this will sit on a small table next to my couch.

I'm pretty confident it will work for my guitars but I need to plug my bass guitars also occasionally. I know it won't replace a bass amp but it's just for noodling on the couch. Next step would be an Headrush FR-108 but it's totally overkill and too big.

Anyone tried the Headrush FRFR Go with a bass guitar?

I have a FRFR-GO that I use as a portable bluetooth speaker when on the move. It sounds good for bass or guitar providing a) you use some kind of preamp/modeler, and b) you are not expecting it to rattle windows (although it can get pretty loud for home practice for what it is). You can plug in your bass directly but you don't get a lot of volume and it sounds kind of 'flat'.

I have two. They work, especially with my Quad Cortex. Not especially loud, and not the best sound in the world, but for on-the-go jams, it's actually the perfect solution.

Next step would be an Headrush FR-108 but it's totally overkill and too big.

I own that model for my axe FX and my guitars. Great for guitar, average for bass.

I use my headrush 108 as a monitor for my band usually, it works OK with a sansamp in it for bass but not great at band volume...

To my knowledge Alto builds the Headrush FRFR speakers so you might look at an alto TX408 as an alternative. I have been using a TX310 in my studio for bass monitoring as well as small gigs.

I have the fender fr12. I know it's not what you asked about but I got one for guitar, and really like it at home for bass. It's not bad with a b15 capture on the QC, really surprised me.

Too big to fit on my living room table. And placing my table lamp on top will not be stable enough and too high.

Thanks but I'm not looking for an 8" PA speaker for now. I'm asking specifically about the FRFR Go.

Just try it first.

The headrush 8" would exceed mechanically and fart out at 1/3 volume on bass. The lack of headroom before speaker distortion was a deal breaker for me.
I tried it with guitar and it was quite nice.
Since this is even smaller I'd be careful.

OP is not looking for something that will compete with a live drummer 'though. For 'living-room volume' it works quite well.

No, not me. I just ordered the Headrush FRFR-GO today and found this thread and that video.

I would use it for my intimate guitar playing with a modeler (or my Macbook), and maybe also with an acoustic guitar plugin on my iPhone. I'm sure the FRFR Go will shine in those situations. But waiting for Talkbass fellows to confirm on bass.

I don't think it shines even for home use. But we all have our views on gear.
I own an axe FX with this very cab. While I love it for guitar I simply never use it with for bass , even at home.

I got it yesterday and thought about sending it back after a cable got stuck in the aux input and got destroyed when I had to rip it out with force. But i tried all other mini jack cables I found around the house and it must have been an issue with only this particular jack, even the other end of the damaged stereo patch cable worked just fine.

I always wanted a battery powered bluetooth speaker that doubles as a low volume guitar and bass amp, and at that price, the FRFR-GO has no competition I know of, so I guess I will keep it.

For my use case of replacing headphones for bass practice it works perfectly fine. At the volume level I tried it, it didn't fart out, even with my Reggae setting and the bass on the headrush turned all the way up, but this was just me using it as a desktop monitor.

The tone was ok but at higher volume levels there is a noticeable hissing noise. I will try it out some more later.
