Am happy am learning from mistakes of others. Not to sound rude
I have been through many pages of this thread and haven't seen anything dealing with the situation I face when we play. In addition to being the bass player in the band, I also sing lead vocals in about a third of our songs and sing the primary harmonies to about a third of the remaining songs. In other words, I sing a LOT when we play. lol
Are there any earplugs that would suppress the volume of our stage sound yet permit me to hear my vocals in the monitors? Or, must I simply resign myself to trying to set up an "in-ear" monitoring system on our old P.A.? Any advice along these lines would be greatly appreciated. <><Peace
If it is just one ear, then see an Audiologist ASAP, this may not be related to noise exposure. My left ear has now developed tinnitus. It now has a slight low-pitched ringing in it, 24/7. I'm 53, it started about six or eight months ago.

Fair enough, I would recommend you do not leave too long, I suggest you do a google search on tinnitus in one ear or feel free to PM me if you want more info.I would if I had an income at the moment...
I just used my new Musicians Earplugs for the first time at rehersal last night. I have a 15db filter installed in them.
