Heartbroken.....

I pastor a church in Boise, ID and last night we were broken into...they stole my Marcus Miller Jazz bass that I just got a couple of weeks ago...ouch!

They also took a ton of other gear. So bummed right now...really loved that bass. It was locked up in my office, but they kicked the door in and took it.

The good news is, no one was hurt, and it's all just stuff....but I still feel a little sick to my stomach. I just played it last week for our worship set...I really liked that bass.

Luckily we have insurance...but it still bites!

Thanks for all the kind words. It really is all stuff and replaceable, but I'm still bummed. They took the bass in my avatar. Luckily I had my fretless at home with me! That's my baby....it would have really been a blow! I've customized it and had extensive luthier work done on the fretboard.

So, a couple months ago I THOUGHT that my pedal board was stolen. In the meantime, I put together another simple little pedal board with just what I need. Then, it turned up in a weird place, and I had both, I took the combined pedals and made one board for guitar, and one for bass......then the one for bass was stolen out of my car about a week later....ugh.

I'm sorry you got your bass stolen...especially a cool one like that. If I ever lost the red one you see in my avatar, I think I would go into a hole for a few days.

Breaking into a place of peace and worship is a very low thing to do. I'm extremely happy to hear nobody was hurt during the burglary. And I do hope that the people who broke in find their way to a more positive life in the future. Very sorry to hear about your bass.

Sorry to hear this. I don't know why it always amazes me to hear of a church being broken into. I guess because if I was going to break into some place (not that I would), a church would be last on my list. Happened to the church where I attend a couple of times that I know of too. They got away with a mixing board and some old computer gear. The silly thing is, none of the stuff that was stolen was really worth much anyway. Just crazy.
