Heat Wave

Hey guys. I just got the book Standing in the Shadows of Motown, and I transcribed the version of "Heat Wave" to tab, but when I watched the performance with Joan Osborne, it sounded like Bob Babbitt was playing it in a different key? Can anyone help me out with this, I'm just starting to read music and it's driving me a little crazy since the one in the book doesn't match up with the performance. Does anyone have a good tab also, btw? Thanks.

Bob Babbitt plays that song a little different from Jamerson. Babbitt spices it up a little, Jamerson played it on an Up-right Bass, it was before his precision days.
I play it in E and B ( B= Phil Collins).
Here is the first page from the original writers.
