Heavy 77 Jazz...New Body?

As others have stated. Swapping your current body for a light weight body with your neck and components is a completely reversible, no harm no foul process, = a bass you will enjoy and feel much more comfortable playing. I'm a firm believer in playing what feels good and makes you happy to be playing it. So, if you have what you feel is The neck for you, but don't dig the body weight, then by all means make it player you want.

You are absolutely correct, sir. However, the OP doesn't wish to be one of them.
Furthermore, his original post says so.

I was responding to this:

"Sell it to somebody who'd rather look at a bass than play it. Then buy something you can PLAY".

The OP didn't say that, you did. Those wouldn't be the only people who might be interested in his bass... there are people who wouldn't rather look at it than play it TOO.
