What corvette and thumb are you thinking of? The best option will be Thunb NT or Corvette standard bubinga IMO.

Look for ovangkol neck. That from what I know gives warwicks their signature tone.

I play an Ibanez SR900 with a Gallien Krueger 2001RB and have found wicked metal tones. I find the Bartolini pickups in the 900 allow you to have so much control over your tone that you can create virtually whatever kinda of sound your going for. The 900's are a bit pricy but the SR500 is a less expensive alternative. Same pickups, less fancy, half the price.

I play in a Metal band. I got a Fender P.bass and a Yamaha RBX774, both sound great for metal. I've seen also a lot of Warwick, MusicMan and Ïbanez in metal bands. All of them sound great! Anyway, I think that the secret is in you fingers, not so much the bass or amp. And never choose a bass because of the ascpect for metal. BCRich looks so good on stage, but... IMO

I kinda like the 6 string hippie sandwich bass that the guy ln alien ant farm plays. That's the best bass for metal IMO.

Hi everyone, I play bass for a heavy metal band and was wondering what is a bass that will give a great metal tone (don't care about price). I am particularly looking for the tone that the bassist from disturbed bassist: )uses.

Have a fender P bass btw.
