Has anyone listened to this doom/psych band from Philly? I came across this album on a 2021 "best of" list and can't stop listening to it now. I listen to a lot of doom and Sabbath worship bands but aside from the real standouts, the whole subgenre can be kind of run-of-the-mill and boring. But there's something about their groove and the way they mix in some modern distortion that have caught my ear. Reading through their history, seems the singer/bassist is the only permanent member and it's basically a revolving door of musicians backing her, but this is their first full-length album. She's got some great basslines... on a Bootsy Collins space bass, which makes it all the more strange and appealing.
Here's the album's opener, which has strong Queens of the Stone Age vibes in the intro:
Thought it was worth sharing. Enjoy!
