For the longest time i've been bringing my Mesa WA head and Eden 2x12 out, as I was frankly just too lazyy to bring out the "rock star" amp I have which is a Demeter Preamp running into an Eden WT800, but the last few gigs I've played thats the one I brought out...Frankly, it just sounds amazing and everyone who hears it comments on it. The Mesa/Eden cab setup sounds good, but the Demeter/Eden/Eden combo just sounds out of this world.

I've often thought of going the lightweight Class D route, but everytime I play through this larger setup I just can't bring myself to do it. It's pretty much going on every gig now, even small ones...overkill in terms of power, yeah, but it just sounds so good. Only photo I have of it...its against the wall back there.

well, I have spent a few years shrinking my regular gig rig down to a Walkabout (or Demeter VTBP-M-800DJ) + Berg CN212. This such a versatile rig that I rarely use anything else, unless I really need some firepower ... like on the very rare outdoor stage where I don't get FOH support. The 800w Demeter into the 700w CN212 is a thing of beauty and with the knobs twisted right, is louder than I ever need to be on stage as I usually have FOH support to cover the rooms/venues.

But, I do also have a few bigger rigs too ..... ;)

Fender Studio Bass + Berg NV610. The real heavyweight winner out of all my gear .. 105lb cab with a 60lb head on top .. thankfully I usually have roadcrew when I use this rig.

Walkabout + Berg CN3x12 (212 + 112)

If I'm feeling really 'onerey I have been known to drag out my SVT 6Pro (1100w) and run it into the NV610 or the LDS 2x15 for very loud results

I can't believe you passed up the opportunity to use the phrase "heavyweight rigs" ... sound like a title fight and a semi tractor trailer had a baby. Anyway here's my +100 lbs 1x15 setup:

Plus my +30 lbs backup head:

Wow, that Sunn Concert bass head brought back memories. I used one with two 2x15 cabs in the 80's, built like a tank and never let me down. It's on my list of gear I'd like to have again.
