Perhaps I should have better stated my opinion. I typed and retyped my reply a few times trying to make sure it made sense. I guess I missed a spot.
Meal replacement as in a quick healthy way to get some nutients in your body when you are not able to prepare a full sit down meal as part of your normal eating routine.
I lift weights, and have done so for going on 16 years. I have gone back and forth on protein shakes. For me, they are work as a snack when I am not hungry enough for a complete sit down meal. During some weeks, I work out late at night, so I do not feel like coming home and making a steak or chicken dinner. The protein shake gives me what I need and fills me up at that late hour.
I would NEVER drink protein shakes instead of eating regular meals.
