Congrats. You should see your schlong growing in the next couple months because we all know bass players have the biggest in the group. Haha I saw Claypool say that. Now flush all those nasty picks down the toilet (j/k). Welcome, I am new here myself.
Yes, welcome to the bottom end. Rhythm guitar to bass is not that large a learning curve, however, the two instruments are played differently. My rhythm guitar is a lot better after learning my way around the bass, and my bass playing was helped by what I learned on the rhythm guitar.

Welcome to the forum. I've been helped quite a bit since joining at the beginning of this year and I still consider myself new around here. Lots of good advice in the forum but some I'd take with a grain of salt and a smile. You know what you came here for, so have fun and get what you need.
