Hello from a drummer starting bass learning journey

Hello from a long time (30+ years) drummer who for some reason finally is getting around to trying to learn bass. I'm loving having the "beginner mind," and honestly, my beginner sound is cracking me up too. But occasionally something sounds kinda ok, which is neat. Anyway, looking forward to soaking up knowledge here!

Just joined this forum, and I too am coming from a drumming background to a bass beginning. Its crazy to know I can plop down behind a kit and feel completely confident but behind a bass I'm a deer in headlights. But the journey will be well worth it! Have fun with your ride.

Welcome to both of you.

I also started as a drummer back in the 70's, and by the early 90's I switched to Bass as all the local bands had drummers, but no one had a Bass player. I'd like to think I'm a better Bass player since I've experienced the rhythm section from both sides of the coin and I truly understand how the Bass player and drummer work together.

Thank you for having me. This is a great fresh start that I hope to carry forever. This is a great group of people.
