I am new to the forum, picked up the bass in March after shoulder surgery. I play guitar also, but found the draw of the bass to much and have moved over to the dark side as some friends have told me.
I got hooked so much I sold ½ my guitars and bought another bass and amp. I enjoy playing and try to play in the evenings after work. I am a Mechanical Engineer working for uncle. I am older than most I think, 51, with a 10 yr old daughter. Found this site last night and started reading. Good information so far, thanks for sharing!. Still learning and still getting blisters and learning to play with my fingers. My preference is classic rock and some hard rock. But I tend to jump around. I do have an instructor and have been taking lessons for ~ 6 weeks now. My influences would be Greezer Butler, John Paul Jones, Chris Squire, and John Entwistle. BTW, I am located in Hampton Roads Virginia area.

I try, but I now use the Boss DR880 as I stunk with the software trying to do drums. Though my buds did try with me. Thanks Zildjian
