Hi. First post here. I just started playing bass about 6 weeks ago. I'm teaching myself with simple songs I can find tabs for, though I intend to get some formal instruction at some point. I wish I had started this 15 years ago, I'd probably pick it up faster!

Found the forum while searching for general bass information - amps, guitars, etc. Seems like a good place so I decided to join.

Tabs are a great start, just make sure you find some good sites, they're not exactly reliable. Get on those lessons, believe me, you'll be amazed at how fast you start picking up on things.
