I always say I'm a guitar player pretending to play bass. 
Enjoying it a great deal, however. Been playing music for 44 years, guitar around 40, and bass for about 5. Currently using a Schecter C4 and I have a Peavey Deltabass head and one of those great (elusive?) SteelSound 2x12 cabinets. I mostly play at church, and there we have Bose PAS towers.
