Hello from Oklahoma/Texas

Hello all,

I've been playing for 20+ years. I grew up a punk rock kid who thought Joe Lally and Mike Watt were just the best...and I still do love them, but obviously my taste has broadened a bit since.

I have a 78' p bass and a 73' jazz bass. A Mills Acoustics (yes, THAT company) 6x10 that I only got because I paid $350 for it and it sounds great, despite the dodgy stories about the company. I've also started getting a little more modular and picked up a Mesa Traditional Powerhouse 210...I was thinking of getting a PH115, but you guys are pretty convincing that mixing cabs is a bad idea and I should probably get another PH210.

I have an Ampeg SVT III, which is finally on the fritz after a good decade or so of oddly sounding great. I'm thinking about broadening my head options and getting either another SVT, a MB 400 (or maybe that new TT800), and I've always been tempted to play around with a Fender 300ps, just due to the mystique of it all...if I can find one, of course.

Anyway...hello! I'm open to all input and advice regarding gear, but really I just wanted to introduce myself.

Wont be much help with the stuff you are into, but, welcome.

Oh, that's just how I grew up. I ended up being classically trained...played in the symphony, jazz band, all that in college along with playing in an alt-country band...so honestly, the only types of music I struggle really getting into is disco and a lot of the metal that everyone who plays it seems to use Darkglass amps. Everything else, there is at least something I really love.

I appreciate the welcome!
