Just wanted to say hello - I've been playing bass on a professional basis for twenty years and have been looking for a Japanese Bass Collection SB301 fretless for a while. I owned one in the early 90's which had been de-fretted by the Bass Centre in London and they did a great job. It sounded really punchy and sweet and I'd like to use that sound again.
Unfortunately mine was stolen out of my car about 10 years ago along with my little GK combo (not a good day).
If anyone has one for sale at a reasonable price, let me know...I'm in the UK by the way.
