Hello TB folks

Another “old guy” trying to learn bass (mediocre guitar player) who wants to get on the praise team. I’m a former trumpet player and enjoyed playing jazz and adlibing as well as the usual concerts. After a few months playing strictly bass, I picked up my Eastman archtop and was shocked at how small the strings seem now. I’m also surprised at how much I’ve really come to love the sound of a Fender P bass. My American professional 2 Pbass was a Christmas gift and stays at home but I love my Affinity Squier PJ. I’m looking forward to what I will learn here and have appreciated reading the posts and particularly the gas guy and practice youtube videos.
