Hello There !

Hello everyone, i discovered the forum few weeks ago, as i was gathering informations to my bass learning second try ^^'

I'm from France, so obviously English is not my native language (and i apologize about that) and i even lost a bit of it since the end of school, though i am still working on it as much as i can. Anyway, i tried a long long time ago to learn some guitar, back in 2006 or so, and sort of 4 years ago lo learn some bass. Both attemps failed, too lazy to do it or for the bass, in need of money so sold the thing.

So why "being" back in it ? It might be strange, but since the death of David Bowie it slowly came back in my mind. To see the loss of someone devoted to Art itself, and not only music, it act like some sort of click. He tried a LOT of things, success or failure, so even if i will not be good at all with it, what can i lose ?

So, in short, i hope i will stay here quite a moment.

Yep, since a few days i have a new bass, pictures will come when i'll get all the gear (wire and all that ^^'). When i first tried i had a Red Squier Classic Vibe 60's (sold) and a Ashdown Perfect Ten (still got it), which by the way weight probably more than me. Now i have outside of the Perfect Ten, a Custom77 bass, french brand built in asia with USA/Canadian/Indonesian Woods, they do original models and classic models (now i think only LP Style remains).

EDIT: About the music i want to play. Well it is a long long road until i will be good enough (a huge lack of self confidence), but i have a certain love about prog rock, so i will probably do that.

good luck on your musical quest! i wouldn't worry about language issues. most of the english speaking bass players on TB have trouble with english as well!*
