Hello! Would like some advice;

Am new to the forum + starting on bass soon! Will be going to take a look at a yamaha bb434 next weekend. Would like to know what bags are affordable + recommended (preferably lesser than 37 USD) for storing / carrying the guitar ard for lessons

You may have to go up a little from $37. Main thing is will it fit your bass. I used a bag for my bass for years, worked out fine and back in the day, I gigged at least once a week plus church on Sonday.

Bass bag for a yamaha bass. - Bing

Welcome aboard from Sunny Arizona!!
You can get a fender bass gig bag for $30 with 25% off (code- Rocktober) at MF. I have a few Fender guitar gig bags- they are good for the price.
A better bag would be a Gator gig bag- they are NICE and padded etc. but run more like $50-60. But with the 25% off you may consider it. Here is the Fender bag.
