Although this is a bass forum, I am not a bass player. I am a drummer/percussionist. I feel a strong affinity with bass players and the reason I have joined is because I am interested in what you have to say.
My musical interests are many and varied. I tend to listen to everything I can find and as such would not describe myself as a 'jazzhead' or 'rockhead' or anything like that. I have worked for many years across many styles from rock to country, jazz, samba and anything else I could find.
I have always been inspired by bass players, Ron Carter and Charles Mingus are possibly 2 of my biggest influences. I always loved their sound. But there are so many others it is really impossible to list them all.
