I introduced myself improperly in another forum so I figured I would do it proper here. I'm from Jonesboro, Arkansas and I started playing bass when I was 14, after several years of music instruction in school. I played in a variety of garage bands, mostly classic/southern rock or metal/punk cover bands, high school jazz band and even a couple all original hardcore/alternative bands. Poor choices forced me to give up music a few years ago and now I'm starting over, gearless but eager. I am about an hour from Memphis,TN and I would very much like to get my chops back in order and actually try and make some sort of money gigging. My hopes for this forum is that you pros can straighten me out and help to get me back on track. Music was once a very big part of my life, I just didn't have the proper resources or direction.
