Hi.
I've been playing bass for ten and a half years, albeit somewhat irregularly. About four years ago I took the plunge into fretlessness with an Aria Sinsonido, and I haven't looked back since. Before that, I played a blue Yamaha BBG4 but I rarely pick it up any more. My first was a red Precision copy made by Jim Harley.
I've been playing through a Peavey Nitrobass head into a Peavey 115BX BW cabinet for many years but recently got myself an Ashdown EB12-180 combo because I got tired of having to lower the back seat on my car to fit the 115BX BW into the boot.
I've been on a bit of an extended hiatus for the last few years - when my previous band dissolved, my enthusiasm dissolved along with them. But I've recently joined a local band and on Saturday I played my first gig for six years.
I'm really looking forward to hanging out here and chatting with other bass players.
S.P.
