Double Bass help backline confusion! peavey tx210 combo +115bx

Newbie first post!. So having issues with my amp, we have a show on the 11th and the only option I have is to backline with the peavey tx210 combo +115bx. I am trying to avoid at all cost to run direct. I am having a hard time grasping what to expect playing UB through this thing. Too much back and forth about mixing cabs I just need to know if the amp can handle my more aggressive and fast slap style. And what to expect tone to be. Big and punchy or thin and weak, or muddy? If it helps at all. I am not a natural tone seeker. My tone is unique to me the best way to describe It is a triggered heavy metal kick drum with tone lol !

To start: when using supplied backline you get what you get. If you are going to be playing gigs with supplied amps you need to get used to this really fast :confused: If you are using piezo pickups, make sure you bring a preamp since most amps do not have a high enough input impedance.

As far as that particular amp, the few times I used a Peavey amp with my DB I had a hard time dialing in a good tone but I have never used that particular model.

I owned a Peavey 2-10 cab. It scooped out the mids which is not good for slapping but will help with piezo pickup "quack". They sound more "pillowy" than "punchy" to my ears, but that's just my impression. Whether the 15 will help or make things worse is hard to say. Try disconnecting it if you're having tone issues just to see.

Don't worry. Get there and set the amp to flat. You may have to look up what "flat" is on that amp. Then start adding and taking away from there. You'll be fine. If you do one gig that doesn't have exactly your signature tone the world will keep spinning..... I promise.

Relax. It'll be OK.

Maybe i should re phrase some things lol. First time on a forum page ever!!! Not new to upright or the stage lol been around the block once or twice. Now that my awkward intro to this world is over lol
Ok lets rephrase
I am trying to figure what kind of tone it has and if 310w Will be enough for me . The reason i asked is because I've never had such a hard time finding any usefull info on this amp even solid review. Just seeing if any upright players have used it. And can shed some light. Oh yeah thanks for the awesome advice pretty cool how quickly yall got back to me

Personally I like the TX210, and after hearing one I bought a Peavey 210-TX cabinet to go under my Ampeg SVT 3 Pro. A friend played through it at an outdoor fair last year (normally uses Mark Bass gear), and said he was very pleasantly surprised that it sounded so good. Just because Peavey isn't considered to be hip, I don't care if it sounds good and doesn't break down all the time...IMHO...
