Double Bass Help! Can't find the right pickups!

I'm soon to be ordering a 5 string DP Custom bass and I have everything figured out, all BUT the main part! I don't know which active pickups and active EQ set to get! I love EMG and I have been told but never actually played, that Seymour Duncans are pretty sweet. I want a bass that really screams out low but clear. Looking for ones that will give me a lot of controle over the sound, so something with a lot of tone options in it. Please Help!

DP, as in Dave Pushic? He only makes slabs as far as I know, so I guess that's what you're asking about. You'll probably get more informed answers up in the BG forum. That said, I really love the old EMGs in my Steinberger.
