Help deciding on replacement pickups

I own a 1984 fender squirer P bass and I am looking to upgrade the p'ups. I am considering the Bartolini 8CBP or the Seymour Duncan quarter pound SPB-3. I want the pickups to help my sound. I play mostly classic rock. I have a MM Sterling on order to come in by May to have a bass for good tones. I just want to be able to rock out on my P bass. Any suggestions?? Thanks.
