Help diagnosing an issue where a pedal randomly shuts off?

Hey there, I have a Boss SY-200, a digital synth pedal, on my board. I've had it for a year, and once in a while it will randomly just shut off while the rest of my board stays on. Normally I haven't cared, but the other day it happened to me twice during a gig. When it shut off there was a pop out in the house, my bass signal would not go past it, and it didn't go back on by itself (need to replug it in or reset the power supply) so this was very inconvenient and awkward in a live setting.

The pedal requires 9v and 230mA, I have it in an isolated spot marked 9v/12v and 300mA, so it should be getting enough juice.

What steps should I take to determine whether the problem is with the power supply or the pedal itself? Thanks for any help!

Vibrations could be causing a slightly faulty power cable or DC jack to lose connection although that usually leads to the pedal restarting rather than staying shut off. I would try using a separate wall wart for that pedal and see if it still happens to try and isolate the issue to just the pedal. Its also possible the power supply is being strained by the current draw of everything running off it and that could cause a thermal shutdown cycle which would cause the problem where the power supply needs to be power cycled.

My first thought is power supply. Digital pedals are really sensitive to the power they get, I had similar issue with my Atomic Firebox.
This. Use a separate power supply just for the SY-200 and see if the problem disappears. Sounds like you have surpassed the capabilities of your current supply.
