Help! Emergency!

Ok. A guy here is selling a Fender Jazz. It looks old from the pics but I cant tell. It has NO Serial #. ONLY patent and DES #'s. neither if which I can make out from the pictures. Can anyone help me date this from what I've said and these pics? VERY much appreciated. !!!!

Looks FAKE. The "Jazz Bass" lettering is complete fakery. I wouldn't touch it.

I'm no Fender expert, but I've never seen logo with that font.

Look at the images here:

Compare the lettering style on that fake and look at some real examples of 70's style Jazz Bass lettering. Should be obvious.

Just saw a few images of 'serviceman' basses made in the Philippines. Copies obviously. The lettering looks almost identical. I'm guessing that's what this is.

No question. A fake. Offer him $50 and have some fun modding it out or something. Tweak the logo to Lender Lazy Days. That'll fit...
