HELP! FIXED Electrical noise interference

if the interference was being caused by a crappy switching power supply within that unit, then an isolation transformer may resolve the issue.Alternatively, if you really like your neighbor, you could buy her a $100 isolation transformer for her $30 roach repulsor.
If the interference was caused by intentional output of the unit that is supposed to be what is repelling the insects, then and isolation transformer probably won't have any effect.
In the recording, it seemed like the interference would cycle on and off. Normally, I would expect a switching power supply noise to be steady state, always on. That implies that the interference was on the output side of the device, not on the power input. I admit I don't have enough knowledge about isolation transformers to have a meaningful opinion here, but my intuition tells me it wouldn't work. Certainly worth a try though if one is available to borrow for a test.
