Help: I need a white headless bass from the 80s.

I had one of these back in the day: a Kramer Duke. Aluminum neck, phenolic fingerboard, decent pickup, 30” scale.

NOT recommended for outside gigs in cooler weather; that aluminum neck will freeze your fretting hand, and the tuning changes significantly with temperature changes. Mine was black, which seems to be a far more common color based on reverb listings.

Spirit canoe paddle type from early 2000s will be of good Korean build quality. I've got two of the conventional body types, the xz 25 model, and they're super solid instruments.

I'd be leery of more recent product so badged. It is not the same.

Probably outside your budget, but the premium choice.

I'd also 2nd a spirit.

I play in an 80's band and a white Kubucki is my #1. My backup is a Spirit.

In the 80s it was headless or Vlad the Impaler. I’m not into either.
I was in an 80s band when it was just a pop band. Pretty soon I’ll be in my 80s.

fwiw I've played two different Hohner Jack basses, and both sounded quite nice. Wood neck & body, passive electronics, cheap.
Neither sounded anything like a Steinberger, but I gather from OP that's he's more interested in looks than sound.

That, plus a can of Krylon in gloss white, and Bob's yer uncle.

Steinberger XM2, WAY easier to live with than the XL. Those EMG HB pickups house a PBass coil set inside a regular-size Humbcker shell.

Thank you all for the great suggestions. I would love a real steinberger but would have to sell my car and at least one of my kidneys first.
In the meantime I found a Yamaha BX1 on reverb thats absolutely trashed with some god awful custom refinish. Going to slowly restore it back to a working bass and refinish it in white.
