I've had this baby since the late eighties or early nineties, the handwritten serial is inscrutable. Love the head, the DI out doesn't really work but everything else is great. Notice the large heatsink... I think it might be an AH 250, as it's not super loud when used with a rocking drummer.
On a related note, I recently won a used Countryman off Ebay to use it for recording into my M-Audio Profire 2626 soundcard, but I am also wondering if I need to have the speaker hooked up when recording through the Countryman. I'd rather not have to bring my Cabinet in from the garage and am hoping I can just do the speaker out into the Countryman into my soundcard. Another thread said as long as the amp doesn't have an Output Transformer, most hybrid amps like this can go into a sound card without having to be hooked up to the speaker as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (And yes I know I can plug straight into the soundcard but I'd like to color my tone with this bad boy first, on the way in to the sound card). Thanks!
