Bought this 2015 model Squier VM P Bass a couple weeks ago, basically a not too heavily played closet queen. Actually more an under-the-bed queen. No case, covered in crud and had probably been there for years but the setup on it was surprisingly spot on and once cleaned up plays very well. Has an old set of flats on it that I'm thinking from the colored ends (don't know the correct name for those) are D'Addario's. Blue sorta purplish silks on the ends. I've cleanrd the strings as much as possible, ton of dirt and crud but they have a nice 60"s thump to them. Trying to decide to leave them on or not, no telling how old they might be. Knowing what they are would help me decide on that. Bought the bass to use in a 60's tribute band so thumpy is good but need definition too. Anyway TIA for your input.
