Help identifying a bass

Hi everyone.

I know I've seen these--what seems like--a million times over the years, but I never paid much attention to them. I'm going thru a PJ bass phase and I want to know if this one is worth driving an hour and a half for.

The person is asking $675 with a Peavey TKO 65 combo.

Should I already be on my way to get it?!
This would be my 3rd new bass this month.

I believe that’s a Fender MIJ precision lyte. They’re good but I wouldn’t pay that much for it.

I don't really need the combo and they just told me they'd sell separately. It does appear to have a hardshell case, which is a bonus. What do you suggest a fair offer to be?

Prices move but these seem to hover around $400. I have seen them for more and some beat for less. Type Fender Precision Lyte into Reverb and EBay.

I did that. Im going to assume in good condition with the case it might be worth $450. I've seen the online prices range between $4-700.

Prior to this recent bout of impulsive gear acquisition, I've been playing the same 2 P basses for about 10 years. I don't think I want to drive 90 miles to find out they won't budge on the price. And, aside from purchasing from the sites classifieds, I don't like negotiating before I see the bass.

I think I'm overwhelming myself.

My old bass never sounded so good.
