Help identifying A Fender Jazz Bass

So I've been talking with a guitarist that is selling a 2007 Fender American Jazz Bass he got from his former bass player a while back.

After taking a closer look at the pics these things stuck out to me:

Serial number is from 04 not 07
No string thru body typical of this era
Looks like a glossy candy apple red instead the metallic candy cola that they used during this era on American jazzes
The neck plate
Chrome bridge (no black springs or brass saddles)
No S-1 Switch as far as I can tell
No neck route from neck pickup to control plate

Since you have the serial number, why not contact Fender Customer Support for a little extra verification?

A USA Fender that has a truss rod adjustment at the base of the headstock ? I thought only MIM basses where like that.
