help identifying a speaker

Can anyone guess the make of this speaker? It's in an old Ampeg B-15N cabinet, obviously not original to the cab... unless this is some sort of vintage JBL.

I only have the pic, no access to the actual speaker.

Looks like it might be an Altec Lansing 421.

Thanks guys! Sounds like that could be a good thing. Off to do some research.

They came in two frame sizes. Some later ones have a bigger diameter than standard 15s. Probably shouldn't pose a problem on a bass cabinet, but it's something you might want to consider if your cab has tight clearances around the speaker/s on the baffle.

Cool, thanks for the heads up. Actually that's the cab I have on the way to me, I was just really curious to know what speaker I had coming with it.

That speaker will go head to head against a '69 CTS square magnet. Looking forward to seeing which sounds best w/ my '65 B-15N head. Not sure who to bet on as I've not heard either one.
